Summer Equinox 2024. There are four astronomical seasons on earth, defined by the movement of the sun in the sky. It is also only a few weeks from this time that the clocks go back marking the beginning of summer time.
They occur between the summer and winter solstices marking the point the sun crosses the equator’s path and becomes positioned exactly above the equator between the northern and southern. Spring equinox 20 march, summer solstice 20 june, autumn equinox 22 september, winter solstice 21 december.
